For small to mid -sized businesses in Kentucky, avoiding litigation starts with being proactive. In this YouTube video Matt Lockaby explains 5 ways small business can avoid litigation:

  1. Establish clear policies and procedures
  2. Address issues in the workplace as soon as possible
  3. Avoid retaliation against an employee who has brought a report or complaint

  5. Seek legal counsel early

By being proactive, employers can reduce the likelihood of litigation, and they can increase their chances of winning if they end up in litigation.
