Biography

Miles Meehan is an associate attorney with Lockaby PLLC. He joined the firm in August 2022 after spending a year as a judicial law clerk for Judge Herman G. Walker, Jr., with Anchorage Superior Court in Anchorage, Alaska.

Miles counsels employers on the wide range of day-to-day HR issues that arise during the employment lifespan, advises employers on workplace-related contract matters (including employment agreements, non-compete agreements, and other restrictive covenants), and defends employers against discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wage-and-hour actions. As a former businessowner himself, Miles intimately understands the daily joys and frustrations facing businesses and is sensitive to the needs, worries, and fears many owners grapple with each day.

Miles also helps employees with the review and evaluation of employment agreements, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, and related contract needs.

Beyond Lockaby PLLC

Since 1997, Miles has been a professional film, television, and theatre actor. Notably, he was "Chip" in the 3rd National Tour of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. During undergrad, Miles could also be seen as the University of Kentucky mascot, Scratch. Later, Miles was the owner of Stage Right Acting and StageBox Theatre, a performing arts training studio and theatre located in Lexington. Miles continues to assist professional actors in getting to their "next level." His multi-decade experience in the entertainment industry has uniquely prepared him to guide actors and artists in achieving their dreams. You can see some of his clients on shows and films such as Stranger Things and Disney's Frozen.

Outside of work, Miles resides in Lexington and enjoys spending time with family and his fiancée, Catlin, computer gaming, working out, writing music and scripts, and losing his voice at UK football games.
