Representing Employees Who Were Wrongful Terminated

We understand the difficulties, anxieties, and frustrations that come with termination. You have bills to pay, a family to provide for. And when your termination was illegal, it’s even that much harder to swallow. Let us help.

What Is Wrongful Termination?

Many employees are “at will,” meaning an employer can terminate their employment at any time and for any reason, or for no reason — as long as the basis for the decision isn’t otherwise prohibited by law.

For employees working under an employment contract, the agreement usually states that the relationship can only be terminated under specific circumstances. Knowing the nuances of the employment agreement and the applicable law will help determine whether the agreement was lawfully or unlawfully terminated.

At Lockaby PLLC, we represent employees who were wrongfully terminated for any number of reasons: because of their race, sex, gender, religion, national origin, ethnicity, or disability status; because they complained of sexual harassment; because they complained of other illegal activity (whistleblower claims); because they took medical leave to care for themselves or a loved one; because they filed or pursued a workers’ compensation claim.
